Terms of Service.

Including the Terms of Use governing your access to Twiq.

Also referred to as Terms of Service and Terms of Use.

EFFECTIVE DATE: JULY 7, 2025

Welcome to Twiq. By downloading, installing, or using the Twiq Chrome extension, its related website, or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, Terms of Use, and any additional terms referenced herein (collectively, the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "You") and Twiq ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2

The Service

Twiq is a browser extension that enables users to inspect web page elements, capture structured DOM context, and generate Markdown reports for use with AI coding agents. The extension operates primarily in your local browser. We do not host, store, or process captured data on our servers. Your use of any AI coding agent (such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot) in conjunction with Twiq output is subject to that agent's own terms of service.

3

License Grant

What we grant you

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Twig extension for your personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms.

What you may not do

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, modify, redistribute, sublicense, or create derivative works of the extension, except as expressly permitted by open source licensing terms.

4

User Obligations

As a condition of your use of the Service, you agree that you will not:

  • Use Twiq to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Use Twiq to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to access, scan, or extract data from websites you do not own or have explicit permission to inspect
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or any harmful code through or in conjunction with the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
5

Intellectual Property

The Twiq name, logo, extension code, design, and all related intellectual property are owned by Twiq. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service's intellectual property other than the limited license described in Section 3. You retain full ownership of any content you create using Twiq, including the Markdown reports you generate.

6

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

7

Third-Party Services

Twiq integrates with third-party AI coding agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) solely through your clipboard. You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any third-party platform you use with Twiq output. We are not responsible for the practices of such third parties.

8

Open Source Licensing

The source code for Twiq is released under an open source license. The specific license terms governing the code are available in the repository's LICENSE file. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the open source license, the open source license governs with respect to that specific code.

9

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CAPTURED CONTEXT WILL RESULT IN CORRECT AI-GENERATED CODE.

10

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL TWIQ BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID (IF ANY) FOR THE SERVICE.

11

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Twiq, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the Service, other users, or third parties. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 5, 9, 10, 11, and 14 survive termination.

13

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by placing a notice in the extension or on our website. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in San Francisco County, California.
